Feeling ruffled
Only if it's because I'm wearing ruffles... down the front, on my hips. The red one is simply stunning. The last of my UO dress posts for the week.

Puma
A flashback to the 80's? I used to hate 80's everything... it's slowly but surely been growing on me over the last few years. I even love Bizarre Love Triangle and other 80's jams.
These are on sale for $56! The sad thing is.... these are only available in a size 11. Noooooo!!! Get 'em while they're hot.

Blues & Belts
Blue, teal, ultramarine, cerulean.. whatever you'll call it, I'm liking the cool hues of the dresses paired with belts going on at UO.

A.b.k. Custom Leather
Old world craft will never cease to inspire awe, envy, reverence, desire and pleasure all at once. It is a personal prayer of mine that quality, hand-made pieces like these will never go out of style for convenience's sake. An object someone spent time, energy and effort in creating is truly priceless. Read more about Alya Kazakevich and her gorgeous pieces here and here, as found on the T Magazine blog.

Christian Dior
Stunning look by John Galliano for his Spring 2010 collection. Inspired by vampy femme fatales of the 1940's and film noir. A wonderfully modern take on a classic look. For more info and how to's, visit here.

Brooke Fraser
Love this little tune by my newest girl crush, Brooke Fraser.
Your eyes are full,
full of the future of us
The air changes as you look across
at me in that wondering way
It is as if
I knew you before we spoke
Do our hearts know something we don't?
Conspiring, converging
without giving us any say
You sing me to sleep,
talk down my walls
Look through my windows as I wait
You could be the thief
I give the key to
You're ruining me
with secrets and gestures and looks
With sonnets and second-hand books
Playing the chords in me
nobody knew how to play
You sing me to sleep,
talk down my walls
Look through my windows as I wait
You could be the thief
I give the key to
It fits in your hand like the water in rain
It unlocks our two different selves
and shows we are the same
Rather than wait 'til I
put me out for the taking
You're breaking
You're breaking into my heart
and I'm letting you
Your eyes are full,
full of the future of us

Lutz & Patmos: Spring 2010
I absolutely adore the soft neutrals, gorgeous draping, airy material and juicy pink accents. I was delighted to read that Archbishop Desmond Tutu, an activist and cleric of South Africa, was the mind behind the pops of color. Learn more and shop here.

David Hockney
According the Jenna, J. Crew's creative director, David Hockney was a muse for this season's collection. To be honest, I've never viewed his work until now. There was an exhibit in Boston a few years ago that I missed. Everyone raved about it. Now I see why. See more pictures here.

J. Crew: February 2010
Dear J. Crew,
*Sigh* I'm totally smitten. The layers of chunky jewelry, soft shades of neutral, occasional hits of saturated color, and unabashed combinations of sweats and silks is enough to make any girl (or guy) go, "Wow."
What breaks my heart though, is that none of your clothes fit or flatter me. So for now, I will just admire from afar. But keep it coming.
Love,
Liz
P.S. Loved watching the video revealing the brains behind the beauty.
P.P.S. The swim suit spread below is amazing.
