Fred Sandback

I love the spareness of Fred Sandback's work. There is just enough information there for your mind's eye to complete the picture.

Impressive and eclectic background that included banjo-making, philosophy at Yale, study of sculpture under the likes of Donald Judd, and of course, exhibiting internationally. His work is both imaginative and literal, achieving the volume of sculpture without the actual mass.
